The park has established itself as an engine for attracting investment and R&D&I projects, ensuring its sustainability and growth around the Circular Economy in the Canary Islands, an outermost region of the EU. It has contributed to creating a new innovation space in an area with low investment in R&D, supporting the Canary Islands Extended RIS3 Strategy 2021-2027.
This environment has promoted the Circular Economy in the public and private sectors of Gran Canaria, in line with European, national and regional guidelines. It has also favored energy efficiency, renewable energies and the integral water cycle, in line with the SDGs.
Thanks to the collaboration with SPEGC, ITC and the University, it has attracted research and entrepreneurial talent. It has also promoted new investments such as a coworking space and employment and training programs such as RENOEE. Finally, the development of a 30,000 m² plot of land has been planned to house future public and private innovative projects.
