Since its establishment in 2010, the Technological Park of Fuerteventura SA MP (PTFSA) has taken firm steps to consolidate an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Canary Islands.
It currently houses a total of 20 companies and entrepreneurs, as well as two institutions that generate approximately 200 direct jobs. PTFSA is also making progress in its Canarias Geo Innovation Program 2030 (CGIP2030), a program for innovation, diversification, economic recovery, resilience and observation of the territory, especially in challenges related to biodiversity, through technologies onboard high-altitude pseudo-satellite platforms (HAPS) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs or drones). Among the most important milestones is the launch of the first aircraft missions under the ISSEC project, with the aim of seeking innovative solutions for security, emergencies and hospital logistics. Also the implementation of reference projects such as AGAMENON, U-ELCOME or the Canarias Geo Training Center courses. All this, under the close collaboration with the Government of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo of Fuerteventura.
