The Technology Parks of Castilla y León are located in Boecillo, Burgos and León and are home to 120 companies and more than 5,000 workers in the ICT, chemical-pharmaceutical, biotechnology and aeronautics sectors, among others. Companies wishing to set up in the Castilla y León Technology Parks must meet certain minimum requirements in terms of R&D activities, hiring of qualified technical personnel and respect for the environment. The Technology Parks of Boecillo and León are linked to the Universities from which three technology centers specialized in the areas of automotive, energy and environment, industry, construction and materials, agri-food and health have emerged. In addition, as a result of the collaboration with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), there is a Biotechnology Business Incubator in the Boecillo Technology Park. The Burgos Technology Park, which is currently being developed, will focus on industrial technologies and capital goods.
